Australian Vision Research Grants, offering individual grants of up to $65,000

Australian Vision Research (AVR) is pleased to announce the opening of its Grants Round for 2025-2026, offering individual grants of up to $65,000 to support innovative ophthalmic research projects. Applications are accepted from 15 March 2025 until 30 April 2025.

These grants are available to ophthalmologists, trainee ophthalmologists, and researchers affiliated with university departments or ophthalmic research institutes. At least one member of the investigator team must be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO) and a member of AVR. AVR encourages pilot projects that will generate data for subsequent larger grant submissions, as well as projects with clearly defined aims achievable within the one-year funding period.

To apply, researchers must register an account and submit their applications via the AVR online portal. Detailed eligibility criteria, application guidelines, and submission instructions are available on the grants section.

We invite all eligible researchers to seize this opportunity to advance ophthalmic research and contribute to the improvement of eye health outcomes.
